Of course, he’s also the founder of The Aleit Group, South Africa’s premier wedding and events coordination consultancy. Aleit is an expert in his field and has helped to put South Africa on the map as an international wedding destination. Admired for his boundless energy and enthusiasm, he’s become something of a local celebrity and never ceases to delight his enchanted clients.

Aleit built his career in the hospitality industry where he worked in several up-market hotels in South Africa and also managed a five-star restaurant in the Stellenbosch wine district. He later honed his organising abilities in the visitors’ division of South Africa’s largest wine company, gaining valuable experience in the corporate field. To top it off, he also completed a business degree and became a member of the Public Relations Institute of South Africa. In this period Aleit was involved in over two hundred weddings and corporate functions, a paltry sum compared to the number that he’s coordinated over the years.

In 2002 he established Aleit Wedding and Function Coordination, driven by his passion for wedding planning and the chance to work with interesting people every day. With his combination of fresh thinking and industry experience, Aleit soon earned a reputation for creating bespoke events that capture his clients’ individuality. The company grew at a phenomenal pace and established an international client base which still accounts for 70% of business. In 2006 it had grown to such an extent that it became The Aleit Group, which consists of the following divisions:

Known for his charm and gregarious personality, Aleit has been featured in several publications and shows in his personal capacity, including My Week and Tuine en Tossels on Kyknet. When he’s not answering emails, meeting with clients or perfecting the tiniest of details at a wedding, you’ll find Aleit with his wife, entertaining family and friends at their beautiful home (the dinner parties are legendary). He also enjoys trawling antique shops for special pieces, travelling to interesting places or simply kicking back with a good book. Aleit’s secret talent? He’s a talented Tango dancer.

Today The Aleit Group is the most published wedding and events coordination company in South Africa, and boasts regular appearances on lifestyle shows such as Top Billing and Pasella. Aleit also launched his first book in 2007, 100 Words about Weddings, which became an instant best-seller. Admired for his business savvy and creative vision, Hans is a master coordinator and strategist. After working part-time in the wine industry and matriculating in 1999, he decided to explore the UK and much of Europe. He soon landed an exciting position in London at a private members club owned by the Virgin Group, which sparked his love for the entertainment industry. At the end of 2000 he returned to Stellenbosch to start a career in the field, managing his own music entertainment company and finding time to complete a B. Mus. Degree in 2005

Hans met Aleit through his involvement in the entertainment industry and they soon realised their mutual values and business interests. “Joining The Aleit Group brought new perspectives and challenges to my life. I have strong natural organizing skills honed through long hours of demanding work.”

Always working in a whirlwind of energy, Hans has helped to expand The Aleit Group’s business frontiers through his leadership qualities and natural sense for business administration. He’s also one of the executive and founding members of Aleit Event Projects, the dynamic corporate events division of The Aleit Group.

Growing up in the heart of the Limpopo Province, Johnny moved to Stellenbosch to follow his passion for creating beautiful designer food. He completed his studies at the Institute of Culinary Arts in 2003 and garnered enviable experience at Mount Grace, Franschhoek and in Namibia. It didn't take long for Johnny’s natural flair and creativity to get noticed, and he soon took up a position at By Word of Mouth, the leading and world renowned catering and events company in Johannesburg. Here he had the chance to show off his talent for creating fashionable menus, fabulous food and snazzy event concepts. His magazine shoots – absolutely amazing. Keen to attain international exposure, Johnny moved to North Carolina in 2007 where he worked as a pastry chef. The experience proved to be a rewarding one and in 2008 he returned to By Word of Mouth as their Creative Director.

Johnny is proud to have produced a dazzling portfolio of trend-setting concepts for weddings and corporate events, and his love and devotion for the industry has made him a valuable part of the Aleit family.

A natural organiser with a keen eye for detail, Rozanne Morkel Mong is passionate about events management. “I love the practical side of coordination, and building something wonderful from scratch. It’s really exciting work.” Growing up on a renowned wine estate outside Stellenbosch, she started her career with a Public Relations diploma at Stellenbosch College and worked for a number of promotion and events companies in Cape Town. Eager to travel and explore the world, Rozanne set out to London in 2003 and worked in the field of marketing and database administration for two years. The experience proved to be very rewarding; not only did she hone her people skills, she also developed a good understanding of operational management.

Upon her return to South Africa Rozanne started to work in the wine industry. It was not long before her talent got noticed and in 2007 she joined our dynamic team, realising her ambition of building a career in events management. With her distinctive style and creative flair, Rozanne is dedicated to creating events that exceed her client’s expectations. “When an event comes together, it’s great to hear the customer say, ‘wow, this is amazing!’ That’s the real satisfaction.”

Perceptive, diligent and energetic, Chanel Ferreira is an expert at organising anything from Aleit's hectic schedule to fine tuning the smallest details at events. With an honours degree in Brand Leadership, it's no wonder that she seized the chance to be Aleit's right hand lady. Chanel was instinctively drawn to The Aleit Group's  impeccable brand name and reputation for excellence; as she says, “branding is the newest trend and The Aleit Group has this concept down to a tee.” Chanel thrives in the vibrant and fast-paced events industry, which suits her driven and determined personality. “I loved to be challenged to be better than the best." Having an innate need to be surrounded by a beautiful environment, Chanel fell in love with The Aleit Group at first sight.

“Now I get to use my creative side in a place that inspires me!” As a hopeless romantic, she also loves the emotional aspect of event planning. "Weddings are celebrations of love combined with family, friends and God. They are days that will make even the hardest hearts melt."

Over the last four years, Munira Ravat was employed by an entrepreneurially driven accounting and consulting business where she managed several projects within a property investing subsidiary of the business. These projects involved the redesign and refurbishment of several residential and commercial properties in Cape Town as well as Johannesburg. During this time, Munira developed and honed her planning and coordination skills while further developing her creative side through interior design exposure in her respective projects.

An introduction to The Aleit Group served as the catalyst to Munira pursuing her dream of a professional career in the wedding and events coordination industry. She has a keen interest for all things flawlessly executed, be it design, aesthetic appeal or customer service. She is motivated by the dynamic and ever evolving palette that characterizes the industry, and through her passion and diligence, aims to deliver the polished flawlessness that has become synonymous with The Aleit Group.

Graduating in 2009 with a BA Humanities degree from the University of Stellenbosch, she majored in English and Psychology, and was drawn to The Aleit Group by their fantastic reputation. She brings with her incredible attention to detail, fabulous style, imagination and an immense passion for people.

Fran is particularly interested in listening perceptively to others and coming up with ideas and solutions to any problems or questions they may have - and she does so creatively and articulately.

Born and bred in the Eastern Cape, Jenny Coetzee came to the city with dreams of studying and establishing a career. Obtaining a diploma in public relations at Stellenbosch College, she moved on to work at a prominent attorney’s firm in the winelands. She was introduced to The Aleit Group, and it was here that she traded conformity for excitement, challenges and fast-paced business.

Describing herself as a romantic, dynamic and glamorous person, Jenny says that working at The Aleit Group brings her nearer to the things she loves - people, planning and organizing. As Personal Assistant to Aleit Swanepoel, she now lives her dream of a city life: “Seeing clients leave our office satisfied is every small town girl’s dream come true.”

Originally from Durban and with an Honours degree in Psychology, Tanya has lived in the UK for the last ten years. Her passion for organising and love of weddings inspired her to contact The Aleit Group after attending one of their breathtaking weddings.

A multitalented legal whiz – that’s Adele Hertzog, our Strategic and Legal Advisor. Not only did she complete an LLB degree at Stellenbosch University in 2003, she was also crowned Miss Namibia 2004, presenting her with the fantastic opportunity to attend the Miss World and Miss Universe pageants in China and Thailand.

Adele later decided to pursue her career in law and worked in Potchefstroom and Pretoria. In 2006 she married the love of her life, asking no other than Aleit and his team to coordinate the special celebration. The cherry on top? It was Aleit’s first wedding at the prestigious Webersburg Wine Estate. When Adele and her husband moved back to the beautiful Cape in 2008, she knew it was time for a career change. Aleit offered her a position and she jumped at the opportunity, impressed by the team who handled her wedding to perfection and with whom she’d become steadfast friends.

Working for The Aleit Group couldn’t have suited Adele any better. Event planning is close to her heart - she recently started her own company that takes artists and musicians to Namibia. “I find my role as Aleit’s Strategic and Legal Advisor truly fulfilling and enjoyable!”
