Mandela Day 2026

The Aleit Group Celebrates Mandela Day 2026 by Supporting Little Stars Crèche
Every Mandela Day reminds us that meaningful change begins with simple acts of kindness. At The Aleit Group, giving back is more than an annual tradition—it is part of who we are. This year, we were honoured to spend Mandela Day supporting Little Stars Crèche, a remarkable early childhood development centre nestled on a farm in rural Somerset West.
Being based at Lourensford Wine Estate, just a short distance from Little Stars, it felt especially meaningful to support a community initiative so close to home. As neighbours, we believe in investing in the people and communities that surround us, and Mandela Day provided the perfect opportunity to do just that.
Little Stars was established to provide the children of local farmworkers with access to quality early childhood education, giving them the opportunity to learn, grow and dream in a safe and nurturing environment close to home. For many of these children, Little Stars represents far more than a crèche—it is the foundation for a brighter future.
As a team, we came together to collect and donate essential educational resources, including stationery, books, toys, puzzles and classroom supplies, helping to equip the children and their teachers with the tools they need to learn, play and thrive. While these contributions will support their day-to-day activities, the greatest privilege was spending time with the children, sharing smiles, laughter and moments that reminded us of the incredible impact that even small acts of kindness can have.
Nelson Mandela once said:
“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”
That sentiment perfectly reflects the incredible work being done at Little Stars. By investing in early childhood education, the crèche is helping to shape confident, capable young people who will one day make a positive impact on their own communities.
At The Aleit Group, we believe that businesses have a responsibility to create lasting impact beyond the events we produce. Whether through volunteering, partnerships or community initiatives, we remain committed to supporting organisations that are changing lives and creating opportunities where they are needed most.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the dedicated team at Little Stars for welcoming us so warmly and for the inspiring work they do every single day. We hope that our contribution will make a small but meaningful difference and look forward to continuing to support initiatives that uplift the communities around us.
As a proudly Somerset West-based business, we believe that creating extraordinary moments should extend beyond the events we produce—it should also include creating meaningful opportunities for the communities we call home.
Together, we can continue to honour Madiba’s legacy—not only for 67 minutes, but throughout the year.
Every contribution – big or small – helps create a stronger foundation for these little learners and their community. You can get involved directly via their
